Mat & Tat - Character Designs
Characters that I designed for a book series for the publishing house "Wacky Tat ~ Facile à lire"
The art style had to appeal to children 4 to 6 years old - It had to be eye-catching and engaging for kids to want to pick up the book and learn how to read. When designing these characters I was thinking about creating strong silhouettes using big simplified shapes and vivid punchy colors. The style needed to be easy to reproduce for the rest of the team and simple to draw as the books were illustrated in vector.

SkEtch - Character Design
SkEtch is a character I designed for my graduate self-directed project at Dawson College Illustration program.
Living in a gothic futuristic world SKETCH is a teenage misfit attending the most prestigious private high school SACRED RAVEN. As a victim of bullying and growing up in an oppressive environment, he finds escape through drawing in his sketchbook. Through his loneliness, he soon discovers that drawing not only is his way of escaping but his superpower. Not only can sketch draw, but he can draw things to life.
